A pre sale, or presale, is a period in which an eligible group can buy event tickets before the general public sale. The distinction is earlier, restricted access: it does not reserve a ticket, guarantee a better seat or promise a lower price. The later general sale opens the purchasing opportunity to the wider public.
Eligibility and Access
Eligibility depends on the event and offer. It may come from fan-club membership, advance registration or a qualifying customer relationship, such as holding a specified payment card. Belonging to one of these groups does not automatically qualify someone for every presale; the particular offer determines which relationships count.

From Access to Purchase
Where advance registration is required, a fan must complete it before the applicable window closes. Registration can lead to a confirmation and a later access link. When the selected presale opens, the fan follows that link and supplies any required code to join it. Registration and code-based access are therefore not necessarily alternatives. The event’s instructions establish the steps; signing up is not the same as booking a ticket.
For code-based access, an organiser or fan club may distribute a password. Such codes are often restricted to an eligible group rather than offered to the public; this is not a requirement of every presale. Where sign-in is required, the buyer signs in, opens the relevant event’s ticket search and enters the code to reveal available seats. Other offers recognise eligibility through the signed-in account instead. In a membership arrangement that automatically unlocks its presale after a matching-email sign-in, the member must sign in with the email used to join. Other access schemes may apply different checks.
Once access is established, the buyer must still select available tickets and complete the required checkout steps. These are separate from registration, membership and entering a code. A person can meet the access requirements yet find that the tickets they want are no longer available.

Earlier access is an opportunity to attempt a purchase, not confirmation that a seat has been secured. Even a valid code can reveal sold-out inventory. It therefore does not establish that the buyer will obtain tickets or that the choices will be better than those offered later.
An allocation is the set of tickets made available in a particular sale. Ticketmaster’s Singapore guidance says presales usually use a separate allocation from the general sale, so the available seats may differ. This describes that operator’s arrangement; it does not establish a rule for every event or tell a buyer which sale has more or better tickets.
What to Check Before Booking
Check the official event page for the sale date, opening time and stated time zone. If registration is involved, check its deadline separately. Use the official access information to confirm eligibility, any account requirement and the link or code needed to participate. General descriptions of presales cannot establish the live schedule or inventory for a particular event.
Before booking, review the tickets actually selected and the applicable purchase and change conditions. Do not assume that finding preferred seats in the later general sale means an existing presale booking can be exchanged. The applicable terms determine the options; a restriction documented for one operator or market is not a rule for every event.
